2009 Nissan Versa Holds Cheapest Car Tag in the United States

Nissan North America will be selling the cheapest car in the United States when it releases to the market on November 18 the Nissan 2009 Versa Sedan which will sport a smaller engine not available in the country before.

The 2009 Nissan Versa 1.6 model boasts of superb fuel economy, beautiful design, and reliability. The manufacturer of the car has a suggested retail price of only $9990 excluding handling and shipping costs. That’s a budget car price tag if you’ll ever see one!

The car with the smaller engine and no air conditioner has a tag of $10685 including shipping. This is much lower compared to the previous 1.8L release which had a sticker of $13685.

The car’s power feature is its fuel economy attributed to the efficient performance of the installed DOHC 16 valve 1.6L inline 4 cylinder engine that outputs 107 horsepower. The 5-speed manual transmission release only consumes 34 miles per gallon running on normal highway conditions.

The new Versa is also available as a 4-speed automatic variant which has a fuel rating of 26 mpg and 33 mpg, on city and highway driving respectively.

The 2009 Nissan Versa has a price tag like a second hand car but has the reliability and warranty of a new car from the manufacturer. It takes over the 2009 Chevrolet Aveo with a tag price of $12625.

Nissan officials state that the move to sell a low-priced car like Versa is a move following the suggestions of their dealers in the United States. The car manufacturer will allocate around one third of their total sedan production for the 2009 Nissan Versa.
